If decorating for the holidays has become a chore, Josephine & Co. has the cure.

For those of us who refuse to drag home a shedding pine tree, or worse yet, resurrect faux branches from storage for (really) the very last time, Josephine & Co. is a fitting remedy. This Winfield-based design studio has all the ingredients for an exceptionally beautiful holiday.

In fact, its on-staff designers frequently take Josephine & Co.’s offerings right to a client’s doorstep — particularly during this time of year — when 911-style consultations take place over drooping décor. Interior designer Sueann Oliphant lends expert advice on everything from holiday tablescapes to Christmas trees, and will even step-in to do the decorating for you.

“We take Christmas to our clients’ homes,” said Oliphant. “We can bring a fully decorated Christmas tree to your home, or take a look at the Christmas décor you already have and, with a few additions, give it a fresh new style,” said Oliphant, who along with interior designer Mandy Tinius, offers complimentary in-home design consultations in Winfield, Wichita and surrounding areas.

Theme trees are in–demand this season, and at Josephine & Co., they’re layered with texture and style, and convey a variety of moods — from whimsical to elegant. “A lot of designers don’t have access to everything we do, because we have so much space. People are just blown away by the ‘wow’ factor of our Christmas trees,” said Oliphant.

Josephine & Co.’s 12,000-square-foot showroom is filled with glittering seasonal décor, beautifully arranged furniture groupings, home décor fabrics, accessories and more. “We’ve just received a new and extensive shipment of Bramble, a furniture and accessories line that features one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces made from indigenous Indonesian woods and fibers,” added Oliphant.

The Bramble line — and much more — will on be on view during Josephine & Co.’s holiday open house, during which guests will be treated to appetizers and beverages. The open house will take place 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 15 in Josephine & Co’s historic building at the corner of 9th and Millington in the heart of the Winfield’s downtown.

Be sure to check out Josephine & Co.’s sister boutique, Posh, which offers apparel, handbags, accessories, jewelry and gifts, as well as items for babies and tweens. Cuppa Jo’s, a deli and gourmet coffee shop housed in the same historic space, will be open as well.
