Launch Your Imagination at Newman University this Summer!

Newman University will offer "Launch Your Imagination," a two-week art camp for artists in the 6th through 12th grades from June 15 to June 26. The camp will feature morning classes from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon classes from 1 to 4 p.m. The camp concludes with an art show featuring students' work and an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 28. All activities will be in the De Mattias Fine Arts Center on the Newman University campus.

Students may sign up for a single class or up to four different classes that cover a variety of techniques and media. Classes are $150 each, and include tuition, class materials and a camp shirt. Students taking both morning and afternoon classes will also receive a box lunch. Scholarships for the classes are available. Topics include:

* Performance
* Charcoal & Pastel Drawing
* Designing with Glass
* From Observation
* Installation & Collaboration
* Printmaking
* Watercolor
* Making Clay Vessels
* Easel Drawing
* Stop-Motion Animation
* Wax Collage
